motor needs more power

by grooove on Mon Aug 18, 2008 6:35 pm

i´m using the motor shield with 2 motors, one motor is giving traction to the car and the other motor is for the steering wheels.
The traction motor works well with good power and traction.

The steering wheel motor, seems to need more power to spin, a noise comes out from the motor when it is supposed to work.

Is it possible to give it more power? How can i do this?

I´m using two 9V batteries, one for the arduino, other for the motor shield.

thnx

use 12V lead acid for the motors, connect them to the terminals on the shield
insert the jumper to power the arduino as well.
