there is not much to discuss with the motor shield, it is very straightforward
this is the manual

i'm agree with you, it should be very simple but why the program works well with one motor and not with two?

I had issues at first running more that two motors. I can tell you from my experience that an inadequate power supply could be the problem.

Try giving the shield more power. And running the arduino off of a 9volt won't work very well. They just don't source enough power to keep things running right.

Almost every problem i have had with the motor shield has resulted from not enough power. I now have 2 rechargeable 9.6 volt nicd rc car batteries, and I keep one charging all the time... if i have a problem that doesn't make sense, i swap them out.
