You will have difficulty because the small resistors (big load) on the programming lines
Be sure to do the "jumper hack" which takes out the output resistors R4 and R7
its at the end of http://www.ladyada.net/make/usbtinyisp/solder.html

Thanks for posting this. I was going crazy wondering why the ISP wasn't working correctly. :D

After I de-soldered the Tinyusb's R4 and R7, and replaced them with jumpers, I was able to burn one of the Uzebox demonstration programs with no problems.

I'm glad I found this... I thought I'd burnt out my 644 and even placed an order for a second one this morning. After reading this, I replaced the resistors and was able to reflash my Fuzebox. Ladyada, you should really add a note about this to the "programming for the first time" page on http://www.ladyada.net/make/fuzebox/upload.html.

So what do those resistors do anyway? Looking at the USBtiny schematic, i can't figure out why they're there.

hm, i thought i did. but it looks like i didnt. which is odd.
anyways, the usbtiny was ORIGINALLY -only- designed to program spokepovs. the 'it can program chips' thing was kind of an extra!
but then, it turned out people really wanted that instead. (oops)
