4-20mA signal over 2.4gHz XBee

Post by PBrowns1 »

Could someone explain what I would have to do to accomplish this? Both ends..Xmit and Recv. Thanks in advance. I'm 63 and this is my new "brain exercise" and hobby. I took an electronics class in the early '60's and waited all this time to get into it.

not sure what you mean by your question, can you be more specific about your project?

I have several sensors (all with 4-20mA output loops) that I would like to read on my computer or a data logger. The different loops would be on different chanels of the XBee. I'm just not sure of how to transmit that data. What do I need to do to the signal to transmit it without error. I hope this explains it better.

check the tweetawatt project. you'll need a resistor, of course, to change the current into voltage
