XBee and SPI

Post by daveh225 »

I'm resurrecting some old XBee series 2 modules for a new project and found a couple of nice surprises - X-CTU is now available for Linux and somewhere along the way the firmware has been updated to include SPI support. Two of my favorite things! :D So my questions is this, has anyone had any experience with XBee's and SPI? Anything noteworthy about implementing it in a project? My current project just requires an analog input, but I have a lot of these lying around, and knowing that I can now use SPI opens up a whole new arena of possibilities.

So it looks like I was mistaken. Not sure what firmware covers SPI, but it's not available for the Series 2 that I can tell. :( At least X-CTU is available for Linux though. :)

Does anyone know which XBee modules support SPI?
