Hi,
I am building an Arduino controlled auto-refilling humidifier with a DHT22 sensor. The humidifier, liquid level sensor, solenoid, and fan are run at one location and the sensor at another.
I would like wireless communication from the DHT22 sensor data back to the humidifier set-up, where the DHT22 is a digital input telling the Arduino when to turn the humidifier on and off.
In this situation, I need to know if I should go with XBEE or WiFi chips. I don't quite understand the difference and would like someone to point me in one direction or the other.
Thanks!
XBEE or WiFi

Re: XBEE or WiFi
For something that simple, a pair of XBees would be sufficient. The XBee has much less overhead than WiFi. You could probably control the sensor and remote XBee with a tiny processor like a Trinket.
