Help Getting started with xbee
I am interested in learning/implementing the wireless Xbee technology and would appreciate any suggestions on what products/tutorials I should obtain that would be good to get a novice started learning/experimenting with them. This may be more information than desired on this forum but my over all goal is to use the xbees to connect various type sensors as well as control signals back to remote xbees to an arduino mega controller (and eventually a Pi for more processing power). To begin with point-point transmission will work but eventually I would probably like to be able learn how to expand to a mesh type network. I have some limited experience with the arduino mega on a project that is currently monitoring 6 sensor inputs and controlling 5 outputs via a web page running on the mega. All connections to the mega are via wired connections which I would like to add the option of xbee wireless for more remote sensing and/or control. I would appreciate any suggestions. thanks

Re: Help Getting started with xbee
We don't support XBee to that extent here. You're better off on the Digi site. They have manuals and forums which will be able to help you.

Ok, thanks. I didn't see a lot on the site but I see that adafruit sold the xbee so thought it might be a good place to start to find out what to purchase to get started and others that might be experimenting/using them anyway.. I'll check out your links.
