What parts do I need?

Post by somewhereinusa »

I want to take some readings I get in one location and send to another location get more readings at that location and show results on a screen. Distance is 40 feet but there is a metal wall between the two locations. Can this be done with two XBees and two Unos and a screen? Can it be done with less? Do I need a Uno at both locations or could possibly use something less?

Depending on the type of sensors and readings, you may not need any more than the XBee itself on the other end. The XBee has analog and digital pins and can be configured to operate in 'pin passing' mode where it simply transmits the states of those pins.

The metal wall may be an issue.
