how do i get good quality pictures of LEDs
This is a new clock I designed and built using Neo-Pixels and an Arduino. I can't figure out how to get good pictures of the LED's. The outer ring is Green (seconds), Red (hours), and 12 blue hour dots. The inner Red is the hours. The bright yellow is for the sun, and is straight up at noon and straight down at midnight and the Moon is being chased by the sun. At full moon, they are opposite of each other. The latitude and week of the year determines how much of the inner ring is white or blue. At the north pole, the inner ring would show 100% white in summer and 100% blue in winter.

One thing to do is to decrease the intensity. Your camera does not have the same dynamic range as your eyes, so LEDs tend to overexpose.

What kind of camera are you using and what are the camera settings? Your camera's automatic exposure setting is not going to give you a good result.

I've asked for help with the code of these rings, and would be interested what you used. see my query - oflander
