Using USBtinyISP to program

by mike31416 on Wed Sep 02, 2009 6:57 pm

Hi,

Should JP3 on the USBtinyISP be disconnected (USB does not power the device)? Any other changes?

The latest WinAVR-2090313 compiles the code so I assume that it will allow me to make changes and use avrdude to program the device. I am running on Vista and had to get a copy of perl. Later I found out that I don't really need it since it is used to create defines for the the current time when debugging.

I also installed programmers notepad, its a nice barebones IDE!

Do I need anything else besides USBtinyISP and WinAVR to make changes?

Thanks for the great site, products, information and ideas!

Mike

I would like to add one more question: Should R4 and R7 be jumpered?
