Et voila! Nice kit. Untangling the wires on the tube was a headache, but aside from that a good build.

Stinkbutt may be out of luck on me getting an o-scope trace on the switcher output. I don't know that I can take one side of the case off to connect a probe without completely taking it apart and reassembling it.

My first Adafruit clock. Worked on the first try.

Now I want to make my own firmware too add a few features such as switching between local and UTC time.

TV on in the background made the acrylic interesting.

Already posted while back, in older topic, but gonna post it again :P

And with two friends:

(The 2nd one isn't working since the output voltage of the 2nd battery was just a little bit too low. It worked though, but the displays didn't turn on.)

Hopefully I can post a new picture in a few weeks where the Ice Tube clock has a GPS hanging from it's behind :)

As promised, a picture including the GPS (and the USBtinyISP):
Image

The GPS and USBtinyISP got some delay... Customs decided to pick me out so when the delivery guy arrived with the package he had an import costs bill with him, he took the package back with him due to lack of cash lying around :(
(Why didn't he bring a portable ATM machine? Then I could have payed at once so they did not have to get back again....)

ICE with GPS mod draws about 225mA, which was below peek fuse limit and above continuous limit. Fuse tripped after about 4 minutes.

Swamped out the 200mA fuse in the kit with a 300mA fuse.

Hmm, I've still got the fuse that came with the kit, no problems :S

(Putting the GPS on top is a good idea :) , the doublesided tape I used seems to not be strong enough to keep the GPS attached to the side...)
