How do I connect my DS3231 (product number 3013) to my Raspb

There doesn't seem to be any clear information anywhere as to how to connect the this Adafruit product to the Pi Model 3 B+. I'm simply trying to add an RTC to my Pi so it doesn't lose the time when it loses power. Where on the GPIO pins do I plug this thing in? Also, which side is up when connected to the pins?

I have to say, I'm very disappointed in the documentation. It's very unclear at best.

Pins 3 and 5 are the i2c pins on the Raspberry Pi. SDA and SCL
