Chronodot vs. DS3231

by goveil1 on Tue Jun 11, 2019 3:15 pm

What is the difference between the two devices? What does the Chronodot offer that the DS3231 by itself does not? Are they equivalent in accuracy?

Thanks,

Yes... it seems like the 255 (Chronodot) is based on the DS3231. So, I was wondering what the difference between them is. And is one 'better' (more accurate).

Thanks,

In terms of accuracy, no. They are both breakouts for the same DS3231 RTC. So the differences are minor:
  • Shape
  • Battery
  • Chronodot does not have I2C pullup resistors
Think that's mainly it.
