Monochron box with the mod socket

by kerosen on Sun Apr 04, 2010 4:54 pm

The clock is working great but since I've bought the USBTiny I would like to experiment new firmwares. Fair enough, I soldered the 6 pin socket (2 rows of 3 pins) on the back of the PCB. But I'm not able anymore to assemble the box because of this socket which stays in the way of the back part.
What should I do?
What is FTDI 6 pins in a row socket?
thanks.

Like it says in the directions, you shouldn't solder the socket in, just hold it in place when you want to program. Like you discovered, if you solder it in, the case can't be assembled.
