Wiring the Nema 23 / 34 Stepper to a GRBL Shield 3.0 Moderators: adafruit_support_bill, adafruit

I have just finished building my first CNC machine - a laser engraver. It is running on nema 17 stepper motorand is powered by an arduino CNC shield 3.0 running GRBL firmware.


So I am now moving on to the next project, which is a CNC milling machine. And this one is running on the big ol nema 34 stepper motors. I have the HY-DIV268-5A Drivers for these since I am sure the teeny drivers that come with the CNC shield will never provide enough current to the Nema 34 stepper.


The question is - How do you connect this outboard driver to the CNC shield? Do I
disconnect the tiny drivers that get plucked into the CNC shield and connect some pins to the large DIV268 driver? The Unengaged pins on the Div driver are DUR- DIR+ PUL- PUL+ EN- and EN+
