Ice Tube Clock Kit: Burned off a contact pad! Now what?

by squeaker on Sat Oct 03, 2015 2:30 pm

I accidentally soldered the wrong resistor into R1 and had to remove it. In the process, I managed to completely burn the solder pad off of both sides of the board. (See picture.) Can I solder a jumper wire to replace the lost contacts? If so, where should the other end go?

Thank you for any help you can give. This is my first significant soldering project, and I'm still very much a newbie.

That end of R1 goes to 5v. You could run a jumper to the positive terminal of C4 to pick that up.
