I have a new problem with my clock. It tells time now and the display is working, but the alarm is always on. At some time in any 24hr period it will go off (regardless of alarm switch position) and it will snooze, but beep again in 10min and never stop going off until it's unplugged (again, regardless of what I do with the alarm switch).

I put some rubber film on the screw/nut by the alarm switch so the nut isn't shorting anything. And I continuity tested the solders points on the switch--the switch seems to work and it looks like there are no shorts on the board under the switch.

I didn't find anything like this on the forum. Any suggestions?

Check the soldering on pin 4 of the main processor. That is the pin connected to the alarm switch. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it cold be a little solder-starved.
