Solder Bridge on Inductive Charging Set

by conroydave on Sun Jul 31, 2016 12:58 pm

Hellow Adafruiters-

I bought two inductive charging sets (PRODUCT ID: 1407)

https://www.adafruit.com/product/1407

On the PCBs on both sides that you are supposed to connect power to have large solder bridges on the IC.

Am I safe to fire this up or should I just return them?

Thanks, in advance.

I don't have one on hand to compare, but I'm pretty sure that's deliberate.

The wiring between the silicon die and the pin can only handle so much current, so it's common to see pins doubled up for high-current signals.

Let me confirm that with someone who can check the hardware though.
