FLEX PCB TESTING

Post by Sajeel »

I want to know what is the standard electrical testing which is normally done on flexible printed circuit board in order to ensure that fabrication has done flawlessly?

What type of testing normally done in Adafruit industries? please list down all possible testing that should be done when flex pcb has been completed.

Thank you
best regards

There are no standard tests.

You'll need to define the mechanical requirements you want the final product to meet, and those will usually be defined in a way that makes the test obvious. If you want the product to be able to flex to a 1' radius and still operate, the test will be to make a surface with a 1' radius and flex the device over it.

Choosing the requirements is the designer's job though, unless they're being paid to design a system that meets someone else's requirements.
