Adafruit Logo on Ruler

Post by Blue1730 »

I would like to include a logo on a PCB and have that logo gold plated like was done on the Adafruit ruler. Can someone please tell me how this was done? I am using EasyEDA.

I don't know about EasyEDA, but it's done with the solder mask. On Eagle, it's the tStop/Bstop layers. I would draw geometry on those layers and then you'd get no solder mask over that copper.

It should be similar in EasyEDA I would imagine, go to the top or bottom solder mask layers and put your logo there.

For anyone reading this post in the future, the solution was to place the logo on BOTH the solder mask layer AND the top layer. Make sure you have copper under the logo so the gold has something to be plated to.
