Test Socket for SOIC-16 with 250mil wide body

Post by TXBDan »

Hello,

I have a chip, a TI ADC128S102 in a SOIC-16 package that I need a test socket for. The issue is that the body is 250mil wide which seems to be unusual. It's in between your medium and wide sockets. Will this chip work in either?

The package type is CLGA, drawing NAC.

Thanks!
Dan

Gotta love those "let's invent our own package" sizes.

From what I can see in the datasheet you linked and the ones for the test sockets, I think the wide version would work. The tip-to-tip dimensions for both are about 10mm.
