Hobby Level DC Bench Power Supply Recs

I've always had such great luck with this site so I was surprised when I didn't see any bench power supplies for sale. Does anyone have any recommendations for a basic, hobby level D.C. Power supply (0-30v, 2-2.5amps). There are loads listed on eBay and Amazing but if I'm going to spend some money I'd prefer that it comes with a recommendation. I'm even open to a DIY option if that fits the bill better.

Personally, my experience with the budget brands common on Amazon & eBay has not been good. I've seen a TekPower go up in smoke and I'm not happy at all with the variable voltage regulation on the Mastech in my lab. The Rigol is on my wish list.

Wow....those are well above my price range for my level of use. Maybe I'll look further into a DIY solution.

I picked up RIGOL DP711. Single output 30V @ 5 amp. A few hundred less, pretty decent build. Believe me there is a lot of JUNK out there, there are some somewhat decent economy models, but really hit or miss. Good Luck.

Look at some from Tenma. These are fairly popular and can be had in a variety of configurations and prices.
