Multimeter 9205B+ - Need new probe

by rrosen326 on Fri Mar 10, 2017 1:53 pm

I have the Model 9205B+ Digital Multimeter: https://www.adafruit.com/products/2034

One of the probes broke. It is out of warranty. (2014).

Does Adafruit sell replacements? If so, can someone send me a link? (I can't find it.)
If not, can someone point me to a replacement, or at least what the probe type is so I can search on Amazon? (I looked at a lot and didn't see anythign that matched exactly.)

Those probes are pretty stock standard as far as size. I've used Fluke probes on an exTech and exTech probes on a Keysight. I would just search Amazon for "multimeter probes" and choose a set that is rated for CAT II since that will match your meter. If you are willing to spend a little get a set with alligator and j-hook snap on tips. They are really nice for tight places and keeping you hands free.

And did you know that stock standard banana plugs will fit too. In fact the spacing between 'Low' and 'HIGH' or + and - will fit dual banana plugs.

Ok - got it.

I didn't realize that all the test leads I see on amazon are equivalent to what I have. (Mine came with 1/2 shrouded / covered banana plugs, while the ones online are either totally exposed or totally shrouded. But I guess they will all fit.)

Thanks for the help.
