High or low temperature glue gun?

by Ravana on Fri Nov 27, 2009 1:01 pm

I need to solder a small ribbon cable down to a laptop power button board and it looks like I'll want to secure it with hot glue when I am done.

What is the best kind of glue gun for electronics? A hobby store near me has high and low temperature guns on sale. So which temperature is best for electronic projects?

Glue sticks come in many different types for different uses. Low tack, easy removal, hard bead, high tack and so on. Figure out which will do the best for the things you will want to use it and then find out if they require high or olw temp then get a gun that will do that. Don't get the cheapest one, you will be disappointed.

Also it is bad form to post the same question in more than one forum. You can go to your other post and use the X in the post to delete it.
