Snap-on Hub for TT Motor question

by ntarocco on Sat Feb 23, 2019 12:29 pm

Hi,
first post for me here, sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum!
I have purchased a Small Reduction Stepper Motor (this one: https://www.adafruit.com/product/858) but I am looking for a hub to mount, because that rectangular "head" is not very practical.
I was able to find only this hub that looks compatible:

Can you please confirm that I can mount that hub on the stepper?
Or could you please link me to hubs to buy for the stepper?

Thank you in advance!

I'm afraid they won't fit together as-is.

The TT hub's slot is 5.4mm x 3.7mm, while the stepper's shaft is 5mm x 3mm. You could fill the space with hot-melt, or something similar, but they don't snap-fit.

The stepper is designed for 5mm shaft hardware with grub screws:
