Hi there,
I'm writing because now that I've put a battery in the multimeter (the one with the blue rubber casing DT-9205B) the numbers don't seem to be reading correctly at all. I'm just looking at it for the first time and turning the knob and the numbers are off - the 6 for example is missing a horizontal mark (photo attached). I am actually new to this so am not sure if I'm just inexperienced but if this isn't normal can I exchange it or return it?
Thanks,
James

Go ahead and insert the probes and try making a measurement. Do you have some resistors or something you could use for a resistance check? Or maybe a battery for a voltage measurement?
