Testing Continuity

by alphagenius on Thu Jul 23, 2020 9:44 am

I am trying to test a 5V adapter for a Nintendo Switch that has a USB-C connector. I want to test for continuity but I am not sure how to test this cord. Will someone help me? I tried searching the Internet but I never found what I was looking for. I know how to use my meter to test for this, I just do not know how to use the probes to test it. My probes will not fit inside the USB-C connector. That was my first thought on how to do it.

How do I use that to test my adapter for continuity? I do not think that is what I am looking for.

It will give you access to the signals in the cable so you can get at them with your meter probs.
