I would like to share with you a wire connector that, IMO, is superior to wire nuts that most of us are familiar.
My current project requires me to connect sensors inside of a water tank that is about 30 ft or so from my Feather board enclosure. The obvious issue that I was trying to avoid is soldering wires together on top of a hot water tank. When running wire through EMT the wire cannot have any connectors attached due to the small 0.5" ID of the tubing. I also wanted to have the ability to replace sensors (if necessary) and un-soldering was not an attractive alternative. Research led me to the Wago lever connectors:

The real benefits of these connectors are:
- The wire does not get damaged if removed or replaced;
The connectors are a snap to use (pun intended);
You can mix twisted wire with solid wire;
Connectors will accomodate 24-12 AWG wire sizes;
These connectors are UL approved.
The video included in the link is very informative.
Here are a few more photos which will hopefully help visualize these connectors.
Here an LED twisted wire lead is connected to a solid core CU wire lead.
(The text/images in this thread got a bit convoluted and I could not rectify them. Sorry.)
