ES120 Failure

Post by Machman »

I ordered an ES120 on June 14th, and when I got the screwdriver, it worked fine, until I tried it on a very loose screw. Now it keeps cutting out, even with the new firmware. I believe the issue is caused by the battery not being able to supply enough current, and tripping the overcurrent protection, so basically it is a design fault.
This product does not seem to be of the same impeccable quality of every single other Adafruit product I have ever had.
I would like to request a return and refund.

I have emailed Morningstar tools, they requested a video of the problem and a receipt, and I will be sending that over to them. I would like to resolve this issue, preferably to get a return and refund.
