Miniware DT71 - Digital Tweezers Connection Issues.

Post by cepsbow »

For those who may be unaware, there is a defect in the design of the DT71. I feel that this information should be divulged on the product page. In order to succesfully mount the DT71 as a USB hard drive, you must put a fair amount of extra force on the unit and continue to hold it in the plug in order for it to make contact. This is the only way it will stay connected, as soon as pressure is removed so is the connection. As well the unit will reset in your hand if you move too quickly or vigorously while it is seated in the tweezer tips. The 3.5mm phono connector is very finicky and seems seated a little too deep within the module. If they had brought the connector out another 0.25mm or more there would likely be less seating issues with the attachments.

Hmm..I don't recall seeing any other posts that describe the same symptoms.

We'll keepnan eye on that. Thank you for letting us know about it.
