DT71 tweezers wont turn on

by Nikanjlo on Fri Aug 13, 2021 8:19 pm

Hello, I just recently got these tweezers, and I plugged them in to charge. After leaving them overnight, the light had not gone off indicating charging was complete. When I plug in the piece into the tweezers, hitting the button does nothing and it doesn't turn on. When it is plugged into the computer, it says "DFU: V3.535 5.075V". Pressing the button while plugged in also does nothing. I have successfully updated the firmware to the most recent version with no change. Is there any reason why they wouldn't be turning on? Or are my tweezers just a bad pair, and need to be replaced?

I see the manual for the DT71 has been updated this week:

There are two things you can try taken from the manual linked above:

1) Make sure you are using the touch interface properly.

2) reset to factory settings:

Let us know if that changes anything. If it still will not power up when unplugged we can do a return with you.

Factory reset took care of it - thanks much.

Awesome. That was kind of a long shot. Thank you for giving it a try and glad it worked. Let us know if you have anymore issues.
