GPS for scanner

Post by bk0 »

Will this little GPS module work with the Uniden BCD436HP Scanner?

I can get 3.7V off the main board and just solder the TX/RX/GND directly to the USB input pins on the board.

The inputs are not USB, they are serial, it just happens to use a funky non standard 4 pin USB plug.

Don't see why it wouldn't work. You could use 5 volt power if you wanted to.
