Residual current and voltage for INA219

by np18 on Thu Jun 29, 2017 4:02 pm

Hi ,

I have an INA219 sensor that I purchased from adafruit. I have connected it to an arduino uno and I noticed that I am getting a residual current and voltage even whenI have not connected the input pins Vin+ and Vin- to anything. The voltage shows 1.03V and the current fluctuates between 0.10 to 0.70mA. I need complete accuracy for my project so ideally i need it to be 0V and 0m amps with no input. How to I get rid of the residual current and voltage?

I have connected the Vcc to 5V , gnd to gnd , scl to scl and sda to sda on the Uno. The uno is powered by connecting a USB to my laptop.

Thanks,
Niharika

Have you tried shorting V+ to V-?

No I will try that. But for my application I can't really do that . Is there a way of reducing the noise by maybe adding a capacitor I tried putting a 3300 pF capacitor across the Vcc and GND but it dint really make any diff . I did the same between Vin+ and GND too . Still no diff . Is it coz the value is too low ?
