RGB LCD Shield Kit & Particle Photon

by ovro67 on Wed Jul 05, 2017 4:44 pm

I would like to add a RGB LCD Shield p.n. 714 to my Particle Photon project so I can display temperature measured from Adafruit_Si7021 when the Photon is not connected to the CLOUD.

On the Particle I2C (SDA is D0 and SCL is D1), and all the examples I found use a different set of pins for I2C on the Arduino Libraries. On the Particle Web IDE (Libraries) I've found 2 Adafruit libraries;
ADAFRUIT_LIQUIDCRYSTAL (a fork) and ADAFRUIT_RGBLCDSHIELD. Can you suggest which Library to use for Adafruit 714?
Or please suggest a different library that would work?

I hoped to use a wireless solution to an iPhone but Bluetooth Serial option apparently isn't allowed due to Apple's policy on pairing.
Thanks for the help.
