Rapsberry Pi multiple cameras on CSI

by svanimisetti on Tue Jul 25, 2017 2:34 pm

I wish to integrate two cameras on a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ board. Since it has only one CSI port, I have come across options like Arducam and IVPORT. They seem to use some type of multiplexer (perhaps, something like a FSA642?) to switch between inputs. IVMech's dual input version costs about 50$, which is a little over my budget.

Are there any similar products on offering from Adafruit (or others) which will allow me to connect 2 CSI cameras? I do not have very strict requirements for synced frames and high frame rates. Considering the budget constraints, if there are ways / schematics that I can follow to build a board by myself - it would be great.

I am a Raspberry Pi) and electronics noob in general, so please be gentle.

Thanks!
