How to plug ANALOG JOYSTICK on RASPBERRY

by djblex on Sat Jul 29, 2017 4:32 am

Hello and thanks to read me and especially all my apologies if the topic exists but i didn’t find any help.
I am making the ADAFRUIT Super Game PI project (https://learn.adafruit.com/super-game-pi/overview).

I follow the tutorial about all components list. Just i can’t find anymore the Cupcade Adapter PCB + Parts Pack on the ADAFRUIT Shops. I understand, it works with the Analog 2-axis Joystick. My question is : Can I plug directly the Analog 2-axis Joystick directly to the PINS on my Raspberry PI A+ (512MO version ) and if yes , which one ?
Or do I need another microcontroller PCB to connect to the Joystick and then to the RPI PINS ?

Thank you for your help
Have a nice day

Alexandre

Hello franklin97355 ,
Thank you for the reply. I just received the microship today, and it is really really small , it will be hard for the soldering.

Best regards

Hello,
If this can help someone else, I used the Arduino pro mini, and it's very easy to configure. Now everything works wonderfully.
