I am trying to use the Max31856 board on a Particle Photon. I have no compilation issues using the Arduino library and I receive no faults. I do read back the correct thermocouple type (set to T). However the Temperature and Cold junction temperatures return either 0 for both or 32 for both. If I disconnect the thermocouple I then get the whole set of faults and the thermocouple works on a temperature meter. I MAX31856 board is connected to the Photon over about 25' of cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Try connecting directly to the board without the 25' of cable.
