LEDs'

Hi guys,

My 9th grade students are making Frisbees using a vacuum former. We thought it would be really cool to fly these at night and attach an array of small LEDS, say three at 120 degree intervals. My questions are:

What would you recommend for a suitable LED?
Would a coin cell of 1.5V provide sufficient power? If so can you also recommend a suitable coin cell holder?
What would be the most effective switch?
Is it necessary to include protective resistors? If so what value?

Ideally, I would like to connect all the components under the frisbee and use neat LED mounts.

Thanks for any help! I have little practical experience of electronics so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
