WiPy 2.0 LCD

by ripplingwater75 on Fri Sep 15, 2017 7:11 am

hi,

If I intend to use a LCD ( to display some information like the IP address, SSID of the WLAN or the number of nodes connected to a pycom device ( WiPy 2.0 ) which of the LCDs would be easy and nice to use? Thanks a ton!

Cheers,
R.W

How big do you want it to be and what resolution. How much data will you want to display at one time and how long will the lines be (characters)

Prefer it not to be too big as I intend to fix these on the sensor nodes. Typically 80-100 characters ( text ) should suffice. As for the resolution, not too particular about that because the information I'd be displaying is stuff like the IP Address, Temperature and humidity readings. Thanks

Alrighty, looks cool, thanks. Btw could any of the other display ( with changing back colors ) work too? This is so that I can change the color ( say to red / amber ) to indicate that something is not right, or as a warning light?

Then just a quick question - would the "negative LCD" or "positive LCD" be easier to use with the WiPy 2.0 ( or LoPy )? Thanks a ton
