10-dof-iMu breakout support on Raspberry Pi

by JFoley on Sun Dec 13, 2015 6:14 pm

I would like to know, for sure, if there are libraries for the 10-dof-iMu breakout that can be used on a linux hosted Raspberry Pi.
I need to create an AHRS component to the Raspberry Pi I am building. It has the Ultimate GPS hat installed and a 10-dof-iMu breakout on that breadboard.

We have python support for the LSM303 and BMP180, but nothing for the gyroscope.

No idea. You could port the Arduino library.

Sorry for replying to a stale-ish thread, but there is an L3GD20 gyroscope library available on GitHub at https://github.com/mpolaczyk/Gyro-L3GD20-Python that I have running on my Jessie-based RPi2. Iit seems to be both accurate and stable. I'm doing some burn-in tests now.

I'm not sure what the policy is on posting links to non-Adafruit libraries, so mods, just delete this if it violates the rules.

Cheers,
Phil

I found a perfect solution to using the 10-dof-iMu breakout. GitHub has RTIMULib2 which is a complete C++ library for utilizing the three sensors.
