Control LCD chips out of a projector

by ed_ward on Wed Dec 16, 2015 10:30 am

I'm looking for a decoder/ LCD driver to control one of three LCD chips (Sony LCX080A series chips) taken from a projector (1024x768 resolution). It has a 40pin FPC connector and I imagine I'm looking for something similar to the TFP401 board but to drive what is in essence a high resolution monochrome display. Looking at the pinouts they don't match with the TFP401 board but can this be altered or is this just a completely lost cause????

If the pinouts on the TFP401 don't match, they can't be altered. You'll have to find some other driver.

@ed_ward: Curious if you found a way to get this working. I had something similar in mind with one of Sony's lower-res devices.
