PWM/Servo Hat 5V signal output

Post by myluh »

Hi,
I have a PWM/Servo Hat and want to drive servo motors. When i connect everything correctly, I get 3.3 V signal output. It is okay for one of my servo motor but i need 5V output signal for my rc servo motor. Is there any way to get 5V signal from PWM/Servo HAT for Raspberry Pi?

Thanks for attention.

Murat

in product FAQs, there is a question and a reply:

"Can this HAT be used for LEDs or just servos?
It can be used for LEDs as well as any other PWM-able device! Use the Signal and Ground pins
if you dont mind the LEDs powered by 3.3V and 220ohm series resistor. Or V+ and your own
resistor & LED, if you want up to 5V power for the LEDs"

Is there no way to get trough with no extra part?

That trick also involves inverting the PWM signal and probably would only work for an LED.
