I have an Arduino (Uno) clock project that utilizes a 16x32 LED matrix mounted to a project box. Internally there us just the Uno, a real-time clock board (w/battery), a few resisters, and a 4700uf cap. Two LED momentary switches are mounted through holes in the box and wired to the Uno. The whole thing is powered by a 5V/4A power supply split between the Uno and the LED panel.
Do I need to add holes in the box for ventilation? Will the Uno (or the other components) overheat without vent holes?
Ardiono Ventilation Requirements?

Re: Ardiono Ventilation Requirements?
The Arduino and RTC should not need any additional ventilation. The two main heat generators will be the display and the power supply. I'm assuming that the display is on the outside, so that should not be an issue. Is the power supply external too?

Re: Ardiono Ventilation Requirements?
That is correct. The power brick is external and connects to a power jack on the size of the box. The LED panel will be mounted to the front of the box with holes carved out in the box behind it to run the power and display pins.
