New Product Development

by dabx5 on Wed Mar 09, 2016 5:37 pm

Hi Guys,

Newbie here but I have been looking for a specific product that you might be able to help me with and possibly manufacture. This is NeoPixel related and requires 4 wires to control is R,G,B, Common. This is so that I can control it using the DMX protocol via a DMX decoder. DMX decoders require Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 3 and Common to control the RGB of the light.

I have the interface control application running on an iPad and iPhone and that all works fine...but having difficulty finding the right 4 wire RGB light to control..

Wonder if someone in Adafruit could reach out to me to discuss the issue, working it out and possibly manufacturing it.

Would really like someone to reach out to me with a contact number so I can at least keep the end goal private as we are looking to manufacture something.

Regards,

Thanks for the reply but I'm not looking for strips I'm looking for NeoPixels that are 4 wire RGB Common.

The NeoPixels in the site seem to be 3 wire.

Regards.

OK then these are what you want. https://www.adafruit.com/products/159 Neopixels and Dotstars are digital and not RGB Common (which denotes analog leds)

Appreciate the feedback, I could used a modified 4 wire led strip but that would be messy..

I'm actually looking for the whole thing all built ready to install at the size I need.

That's why I'm looking to see if adafruit would entertain it..

Sorry but we don't do custom work but you might find someone that would do it in the jobs forum.

That's a shame as the prototype I was looking for could lead to 50,000 order..

Guess I'll continue to look around or try these or use China like many others.

RGBW OLSON 80 Powerstar. From intelligent LED solutions.

Thanks anyway.
