Hello,
I found this VNA online today: http://miniradiosolutions.com/54-2/
No, I am not shilling for this company. Go back and look at my post history, I'm real.
The question is: that product makes a lot of promises like a 3GHz range and the ability to just beam your data over bluetooth to your laptop/tablet/phone if you download the Android app.
Now, I have to admit, that's pretty cool and it's at the right price.
But the VNAs in my lab cost about $100,000 -- sometimes more. I realize that this is because they go up to much higher frequencies and are extremely precise.
My question here is: If you're doing antenna work, HOW would one best evaluate VNAs to determine if "amazing/all-promising, etc" new products can be relied upon, or are they just novelties?
Again, not shilling. I was sort of going look at the idea of a wireless VNA myself, so I googled it and found this. I think it is the only one, not sure.
How to evaluate this portable bluetooth VNA?
