Power Sound Pocket Inverter using USB On-The-Go (OTG)

by lucascar001 on Sun Oct 24, 2021 7:20 pm

Hey there,

I have a project where we want to power a Sound Activated Pocket Inverter (https://www.adafruit.com/product/832) but ideally using a cellphone with USB OTG (Samsung A32 to be exact - https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy ... -10648.php) instead of a power pack.

Would this be possible without necessarily building something custom?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The EL inverter you have selected in 12V so I do not see USB OTG as an option (that would be between 4.4v - 5.25v).

We sell 8xAA holders you could fill with rechargable batteries.

There world of RC (remote control) Cars has a lot of lithium packs that run in the ~11v+ range that can power this too.
