Light painting

by Livetosculpt on Mon Jan 24, 2022 4:11 pm

Hi,
I'm painting small products with light, and would like to build my own light wands using Adafruit products 1626 and 1622 single LED panels. I can follow instructions and I can solder, and that's it. Would someone please help me with what I need in addition to these little LED's to light them up with a battery. They will not be ganged up. Simple on/off switch. I can easily figure out a housing.

Thanks so much! jr@reichert-studios.com.

Are you planning to make a string of lights with these LEDS? If yes, you just can connect them together in parallel. Solder the positive sides of all LEDS together and negative sides of all LEDs together, using two different wires. Then connect one switch. It will be able to turn the whole circuits on/off.

Thanks for your response.

I'd like to make a small wand using one unit. We own a chocolate store, and make all of our own product, and would like to photograph the truffles with a soft, controllable light. Like a mini soft box. Then we can gently paint, with light, around each individual piece of chocolate to achieve the results we desire.
