Touch Calibration of 2.8" Capacitive Touch Screen

Post by alborz »

I am using a couple of 2.8" piTFT with Capacitive Touch from adafruit in one of my projects.

I am facing issues with the touch events on one of the screens.

According to the documentation https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-2-8 ... h?view=all, Capacitive Touch should not require calibration.

I have the following numbers in my /etc/pointercal

320 65536 0 -65536 0 15728640 65536

(according to the documentation)

The above numbers does not really help.
Even when I run
sudo TSLIB_TSDEVICE=/dev/input/event2 TSLIB_FBDEVICE=/dev/fb0 ts_calibration
and calibrate the screen manually, only half of the screen touches are working properly, the other half of the screen is completely wrong.
  • Could I have received a unit with faulty touch?
  • Could I have somehow damaged the Capacitive Touch of the screen?

Maybe and maybe. Can you post a photo of the problematic screen. Describe the faulty behaviour in a little more detail. Is there something you've done that makes you think you might have damaged it?
