Hello there!
I work as a production coordinator for a large company dealing with concerts, tours, conferences and other general events. I specifically work with lighting for most of our events. I have, for years, worked primarily with the standard multi-parameter... moving head fixtures (and similar). Over the last few years, however, we have found several uses for (analog) RGB LED rope/strip lighting. We typically build and light a design or structure via LED strip lights + DMX decoder. Each strip light basically acts as one light fixture... from there, I program light shows via lighting consoles like the ETC ION.
I have recently discovered the beautiful world of digital LED strip lights and it's general family of individually controlled LED strips/panels. The creative opportunities are absolutely endless using these for large shows, but I am curious to see how they would work being programmed by a standard lighting console. From what I can tell they are all controlled via computers and scrips. My question is, has anybody used products like the ones listed below, with a standard DMX lighting console? Does anybody have any advice in this area? Where do I start?

I have 2 open source solutions for controlling WS28xx leds with DMX:
1. Raspberry Pi Art-Net 3 (Wifi) ->DMX Out / RDM Controller / Pixel controller [Plug & Play] http://www.raspberrypi-dmx.org/raspberr ... et-dmx-out
2. Raspberry Pi RDM Responder / Pixel controller [Plug & Play] http://www.raspberrypi-dmx.org/raspberr ... -responder
Note : The above solutions are running on baremetal.
