I have had a strand of 1m 60 LED Neopixels for about a year now and have finally put them to use in my project. I've gone through all the steps on this tutorial here:

https://tutorials-raspberrypi.com/how-t ... led-strip/
(Most of this is pulled from adafruit in the first place)

My only difference is that I'm using a Pi Cobbler instead of connecting the LED DATA and CLOCK directly to the Pi.

Everything works great until I actually try and run the examples. When I run simpletext.py and rainbow.py, only one LED on the entire 60 LED strip lights up and it lights up green. I've checked the LED count inside the python code, and they are definately more than 1 (I've tried everything from 2 - 60). I've cut away the rubber between each LED's connections and found that 5.1 volts is passing between multiple LEDs successfully, but they still do not light up. The LEDs are connected to their own dedicated 5 Volt power supply, so I do not believe power is the issue.

I'm lost at where to go from here. Any help would be awesome.

Can you post a picture of the cobbler and pi so we can see how you have the cable run?

Yeah of course. Thank you for your quick reply.

Here is the breadboard wiring:

The orange wires from the breadboard go to the LED CLOCK and DATA. The yellow wire is the ground from the negative terminal on the breadboard to the GND on the cobbler. Power to the breadboard comes from a 5V power supply to both the positive and negative rows on the breadboard. Purple and Blue wires take the power from the positive and negative row and bring it to the LED strip.
